Free Tech for teachers

A great resource for the hard pressed for time teacher, is somewhere that offers great resources at great prices, in this case the resources are pretty good and in the main the price is free! Now it just doesn’t get any better than that.

At the moment there is a newish open source media player, called Miro, this will allow the user to aggregate content from websites that predominately have user generated content, such as You Tube and Vimeo etc.

Downloading video is an excellent resource for teachers to use, unlike streaming where the quality of the image is controlled by the speed of the connection; however a downloaded video is entirely different as it can be played in the same way any other piece of video, which makes it ideal for schools and teaching.
