Teachers want homework scrapped
There is a worry among the country’s primary school teachers that setting homework could be putting too much pressure on the young children, making them anxious and unhappy about school. This in turn will make them dislike school which is a trend that can follow them right through their school years.
School children in England are amongst the most tested in the western world, and this is their idea of school, no matter how the lesson change once in the rut it is very difficult to draw them out, as the main associated with school is tests and homework. Clearly this could have a detrimental effect on the child’s entire life.
There is always a class thing that seems to have reared its head, as middle class children have access to books, computers, help from parents and the internet, while those who come from a disadvantaged background are liable to have limited help and not much else to help them, this eventually gets them into trouble at school.
