PDF’s great for school use

PDF’s are great they offer ease of use and there are very few problems with them, this makes this format very adaptable for use in schools. Here’s why:

Comfort - Teachers and students are already comfortable with PDF
Equipment - Schools have the equipment to view PDF’s
Cost – PDF’s can be created easily and inexpensively
Fonts – PDF’s have accurate display
Pictures – PDF’s do a great job of displaying pictures in colour or black and white
Layout - All the richness of desktop publishing
External Links - Bring the resources of the internet to any document
Internal Links - Quickly and easily navigate even complex documents
Printing – PDF’s can be printed when necessary
Cross Platform - Windows, Mac, or Linux

The PDF can be used to teach all subjects, and as they are in effect a text book for computers, they can be used over and over again. They can even be shared too, making this a very under used application.
