More school strikes to come

Nearly eight thousand schools were closed yesterday due to industrial action taken by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) this caused not just children some hassle, but working parents too.

Being at work while the kids are at school is somewhat worrying, because you may get a call from the school or they may ill. These things parents have to cope with, but a teachers strike is just another hassle that everyone could do without.

Teachers may have a good claim for more pay, as does everyone else who works for a living, but it is not always possible for workers to get everything that they want.

But to make things even harder for parents, the NUT has announced that there are to be other strikes planned. The NUT leadership will be holding meetings over the next couple of weeks and from there it will be decided what further action will needed to get the result that they require.
