Data breach in UK school
Out of all that data that is out there on us, the data that we care about the most has to be that of out children and there are many places where this data is stored, clubs, schools, doctors and other organisations, but we still expect this data to be as safe it possibly can.
But school in Oldham has made serious error with the data that they hold on all of their pupils, in fact this mistake could have meant that anyone would be able to access the name, gender, school number and year, and even their ethnic origin of the 273 pupils.
Werneth infants and nursery school has been told by Oldham council that the site has been closed down now, while they check exactly how much information has got and how it happened. They will also be checking all of the other school websites under their control for any breaches in security.
