Military families should first choice on schools

The head of the British armed forces, is suggesting that the families of serving military personnel should be getting preferential treatment when it comes to public services such as education.

The Chief of the Defence Staff, Sir Jock Stirrup has said these families should be getting a bit more than the average family, simply because of the sacrifices that they have made for the country.

Of course this is not going to down well with some members of the general public, who are also struggling with getting their children into the right schools and seeing them all the way through their education in order that they have a chance of a good job.

It is understandable that the military want to look after their own, but that is just the same for everyone.
