Students still flocking to the UK

Despite the credit crunch and the cost of living in the UK, there is still a booming market in students coming to the UK for their university education from countries all around the world.

This is because a UK qualification carries a lot of weight when it is time to start work and of course the education system is not only one of the best in the world, it also offers one of the best environments to study in.

Where are the students coming from?

China 50,755
India 19,205
Greece 17,675
Republic of Ireland 16,790
USA 14,755
Germany 13,265
France 12,455
Malaysia 11,450
Nigeria 9,605
Hong Kong 9,445

This proves that the income produced from foreign students is a serious amount of revenue, which cannot be frowned upon by anyone. Of course, many of these students may even stay on in the country like those who train in the medical profession.
