Teacher takes Linux CD because of piracy

Sometimes it is amazing when you think that teachers hold the future of our children in their hands and yet they can be so blind about what is realistic in the world.

Take one case, where a child using a laptop in class, impressing his friends of his skills. If any of the kids are interested, he provides them with a Linux CD, so that they too can join in with the joys of using computers.

However, up steps the teacher, she confiscates the CD’s stating that no software is free and that she will take this as far as she can.

In fact she actually went further than that by saying, that she is not what he was doing is legal, but if it is illegal she with pursue charges.

Eventually after the backlash had hit her full on, the teacher has decided not to take it further.
