School pregnancies increase after sex education
There has always been a question mark that hangs over the whole area of sex education, one theory is that it you tell them too much about the subject then they are likely to go out and try it, especially as an expert has told them about all of the safety measure that are in place.
But the government insisted that a sex education scheme be rolled out all be it in a small amount of testing areas first, it is these areas where figures have shown that maybe this new sex education programme is not as great as it may seem.
Under this scheme there explicit leaflets and free condoms, yet in the areas the amount of teenage pregnancies has increased, along with an increase in sexually transmitted diseases. This shows that in the areas where the scheme had been tested there is a direct link to increased teenage pregnancy.
