School to teach about same sex relationships

Literature about same sex relationships is being used in schools to explain and educate the children on this type of lifestyle, however although there has been some positive responses to this plan, there has also been concerns aired about what age if any children should be exposed to this type of material.

The general feeling is, as with anyone who is different the best way to prevent discrimination is to expose children to it before they have formed an opinion. It is then believed that they are more likely to grow up accepting people for who they are and not what they are.

In a recent study, it was found that younger people who have been on the receiving end of homophobic comments will not do as well at school and in fact are more likely to end up playing truant and eventually leave school early.
