Cheap Mini Notebook for Schools

Those cheap laptops that we have all heard of, that took the States by storm will be available in the UK from November 1st. The Asus Minibook will available through the supplier Research Machines who supply schools with computers. You may have seen them as they carry the famous RM logo on the machine somewhere prominent.

This particular machine is said to be able to boot up a just fifteen seconds. There are two versions, the 256 MB, 2 GB Model which will cost an amazing £169 and the 512 MB, 4 GB Flash Drive version will cost only £199. The computer has 7 inch display, 900 MHz Intel Celeron M, 0.3 megapixel webcam, and 802.11g Wi-Fi, looks like we will be seeing these in a classroom nearby very soon.
