School introduces green Santa
School Santa gets a makeover and the parents don’t like it one little bit, so what is the problem here? The trouble started when the Steiner School in Brighton, decided that poor old Santa has become far too commercialised and in fact had almost become a seasonal logo for Coca Cola.
So the school decided in their wisdom to change the traditional red costume, to a more natural eco green costume, but this has upset some parents who claim that this is wrong. But the school are claiming that the red Santa was invented by Coca Cola, which is wrong! Considering that Santa is taken from St Nicholas, a Bishop from Holland, a couple of hundred years before the creation of Coca Cola.
Has PC gone too far these days? Or are the teaching staff right?
