English minorities in some schools
There are some schools in the UK where English is not the first language, around 574 out of the 17,361 primary schools and 112 of the 3,343 secondary schools, which do not have English have their first language.
There is a high concentration of these schools in London, Leicester, Blackburn and Birmingham, this follows the call for a greater knowledge of English for the younger immigrants who come to this country instead of councils just paying our for translations services.
Much of this rise in non English speaking school children is said to be due to the increase in people from eastern Europe coming to this country, but this cannot be completely blamed on the widening of the EU.
