Lessons from space

Teacher turned astronaut or is it astronaut turned teacher? Well whatever, Barbara Morgan turned the space shuttle into a classroom, the students on earth were located at the Discovery centre of Idaho in Boise, which is under 100 miles from the school which Barbara Morgan taught at before taking up her astronaut training.

The children were involved in a 25 minute questions and answer session, where the children asked her about, exercising and drinking in space, along with other questions regarding the space shuttle and what life is like for the astronauts up there.

This was truly a great moment for the children, the astronauts and for NASA who have had a few problems of their own since the launch, especially the damage that has been found to the heat shield underneath of the shuttle, the three inch by two inch area is not regarded to be dangerous, but a decision will be made today.
